Swatch Notebook free download

Tied and dyed prints are my favourites. How about you, you 'Like it' , 'Love it' or 'Its so Meh!'?.I always have a fascination for them.  I have enjoyed dyeing and creating colorful fabrics.Today I am sharing with you all a Tie Dye printed folder I made when I learnt sewing in high school. I treasure it till date. Also a wonderful "sewing tip". I did not print the fabric used for this project, how I wish I had LOL.

Cardboard  +  Felt  +  Black Cotton Fabric  +  Tie Dyed Fabric  +  Velcro + Eyelets  +  Sew them all  =  A colorful useful Folder :)
There is mini closed pocket and 2 side pockets and a punched paper holder..

I stumbled upon this lovely idea of of organising stash in the stash. You can download the swatch notebook template for free here.

As of now , It is my New swatch folder. Yea, it makes me feel so happy that now I have an organized list of fabrics in the stash . It was so disorganized before and big time forgetful of which fabric I bought when and where etc etc....
If you sew, how do you keep track of fabrics in your stash , am a little curious to know;)
Did you like my big bright handmade folder ?

Love,
Diya

P.S : I have linked up my project to all/some of the links here.

  1. When I was a teenager, tie dyed fabric was popular, so it always brings back good memories. What a good idea to keep track of your stash in the folder. I keep mine in see through bags sorted by colour, but I still have to sift through it when I want something.

  3. What a great way to organize your fabric. I love the tie dyed folder, I can see using that for so many ideas.
I've never organized my fabric into a swatch folder, My fabric is loaded into big clear plastic storage bins. Not nearly as organized as you.

  5. I need a fabric swatch holder. Everytime I want to do something with fabric, I have to pull out my big bin and rummage through. This is awesome! (Plus, I LOVE tie-dye!)

  7. I need a fabric swatch holder!!! I tend to throw bits of fabric in my purse before going out to buy more. So I can mix and match!!! How professional I would look showing up with a fabric swatch binder!!!

  10. I remember doing tie dye at school, messy but loved it and I still like the look of it. You are very clever to think of that, practical, different and a really nice piece of craft work.

  14. Hi Diya,

This is such a fabulous fabric folder and I totally love the idea of a swatch notebook. Sounds like something I need to do. Currently, I just fold up my fabrics neatly and try to place like-minded ones together. The swatch notebook is much better, especially when you can no longer remember the details of the fabric. :-)

I found your blog via the Blog Hop and I'm your newest follower. Feel free to stop by my blog as well.
