Books are simply so inspiring. And if it is a DIY book , for a DIY enthusiast, its a treasure!!!
I sometimes feel guilty for owning too many DIY and sewing books. Flipping the pages for inspiration and making a lot of projects from them is my favorite pastime.

I felt it is worthwhile sharing detailed posts on projects I make from the sewing books. This is going to be of help to the other home sewers to get an idea of what is in the book and how well the book can help us in sewing or pattern drafting.

Hi Diya, I'm a silent reader of your blog. I love the idea of sewing my clothes and your projects are so inspiring.. Can you please suggest a sewing book for beginners with some interesting projects in it. Thanks so much in advance :)
ReplyDeleteHi Priyanka , Nice to know that my creations inspires you. To get most out of a sewing book , I feel one must have had the advanced beginner kind of experiences in sewing.Because most of the times books don't give all the information and it can be frustrating if we don't find the book useful after paying a lot for the price.
DeleteFor beginning I shall suggest Sewing machine basics by Jane Bolsover. It is a good book for getting started. With lovely garments for women.
